TNI Plant & Equipment Hire is a Western Australian owned and operated family business, founded by brothers Tom and Ned Iredell and based in Mount Hawthorn, Perth.
TNI was created to provide ourselves, our family and friends with quality machinery at the best possible price. We know our mates look after our machinery, and we factor that into our prices. We believe in quality customers before margins — that's the belief our business was founded on.
Our regularly maintained, late-model fleet is built for mobility. Each machine is paired with a custom trailer and most of the fleet is towable on a standard car licence, so you can move between jobs on extended hires. At our prices, it's more convenient and cost-effective to hire long term.

Can I really tow an excavator with my car licence?
Yes. Our 1.7T Yanmar mini excavator is paired with a custom plant trailer, and the combination is under the 4.5T aggregate limit for a standard WA C-class car licence. Check your vehicle's towing capacity — most utes and many SUVs handle our combos easily.
What is dry hire?
Dry hire means you hire the machine without an operator — you drive it yourself. It's the most cost-effective way to hire plant if you or someone on your team can operate the equipment. And if you've been searching for "digger rental" or "excavator rental" — same thing: in Australia it's usually called hire, and that's exactly what we do.
